You the Vehicle Search screen to search for vehicles of multiple years, in multiple locations and with various inventory statuses. Find the desired vehicle in your primary location, or across the enterprise. Search for in-stock or factory-ordered vehicle inventory or search for Used certified or uncertified vehicles.

Search Criteria

The table below gives a description of both basic and advanced search fields that you can use to build your search criteria.

Search Field/Button	Description
Location	You can select dealership locations from this field. Note that you can only search inventory at locations where you have permission to search. The location maps to an Inventory Company and -A account in the DMS.
Stock Nbr	You can enter a stock number in this field to quickly search for a vehicle.
VIN (% Wild Card)	You can enter a full or partial VIN in this field.
New/Used	You can limit your search to New or Used vehicles. Selecting New here will ignore the value selected in Certified field.
Car/Truck	You can select the vehicle type from this field. Selecting Car will exclude trucks from the search results, and vice-versa.
Vehicle Segment	You can limit your search to vehicles of specific body style, for example, Van, Truck, Coupe, Sedan.
Inventory Status	You this field to limit the search to vehicles of a particular status. For example, selecting In Stock will return only vehicles that are in dealer stock. The search will exclude in Transit vehicles, vehicles On Order, and others.
Year Range	Check the box next to this field for the search results to include vehicles in the year range specified in the Year Range field, else this criteria will be excluded.
Make	You can select the vehicle makes that you wish to include in the search. When a Make is selected, the appropriate models for that make will be listed in the Model field.
Model	You can select the vehicle models that you wish to include in the search. The Show Full List of Make/Models link will toggle a full list of Makes and Models, or only display a list of Makes and Models relevant to you.
Model No	You can enter a model number to limit your search to a specific model number.
Certified	You can use this field to include or exclude certified used vehicles in the search. Select Yes from the field to find only certified used vehicles. Select No to find used vehicles that are not certified. This field is used in combination with the New/Used field. This criteria will be applied to the search only when Used or All is selected in the New/Used field.
Available	You can use this field to search based on availability of vehicles. Selecting ‘All’ will bring up both available and unavailable vehicles, while selecting ‘Yes’ will display only available vehicles. Selecting ‘No’ will display all unavailable vehicles. Note that a vehicle can be ‘in-stock’ but may be unavailable to sell. A sold vehicle is always 'not available' for sale.
Inventory Status	You can use this field to limit the search to vehicles with particular statuses. Selecting In Stock, for example, will return only vehicles that are in dealer stock. The search will exclude In Transit vehicles, vehicles On Order, and others.
Exterior Color	You need to check the box next to this field to add this parameter to your search criteria. You can search for vehicles of all colors or narrow your search to only colors you select. To select multiple colors from the list, hold the Ctrl key while selecting the colors.
Interior Color	You need to check the box next to this field to add this parameter to your search criteria. You can search for vehicles with all available interior colors or narrow your search to specific colors from the list. To select multiple colors from the list, hold the Ctrl key while selecting the colors.
Texture	You need to check the box next to this field to add this parameter to your search criteria. You can search for vehicles with leather, cloth or vinyl interiors. Select All to search for all vehicles (regardless of texture), or select one of the textures on the list to search only for vehicles having interior made of a particular texture.
Lic. Plate	You can search for a vehicle based on a particular license plate number.
Doors	Enter a number to search for vehicles with that many number of doors.
Transmission	You can search for vehicles base on transmission type; Auto, Manual or All.
< Odometer	To limit your search to vehicles that have driven not more than a certain number of miles, enter a number here. The search will return vehicles that have run equal or lesser miles.
Cylinders	Enter the number of cylinders to limit your search to vehicles with that many number of cylinders.
Template Nbr	Enter the Template Number assigned to the vehicle configuration to search for a vehicle
Lot name	You can select a lot name to limit your search to a particular lot.
Options	To include Options in your search, click on Select to display a window where you can choose up to 4 options on which to base your search. The codes for the options you select are displayed in the Options Code fields. If you are using Options in your search, the status of the 'New/Used' menu above must NOT be set to 'All'.
Price	To find vehicles based on price, enter the price to search for. By default, the search will include vehicles equal to or less than the price you entered. Use the drop down menu to search for vehicles that are equal to or greater than the price entered.
Cost	To search for vehicles based on how long they have been in stock, enter a number of days here. Use the drop down menu to search for vehicles that have been in stock for longer than the number of days you indicated.

Inventory Type	To search for vehicles of specific inventory type, for example, fleet, rental, then select inventory type from the box. To select multiple types from the list, hold the Ctrl key while selecting the values.
DMV Body Style	This drop down list shows the Body Styles recognized by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Selecting a body style from this list in the Search Criteria excludes all other styles from the search results.
Search	Once you've set your search parameters, click here to begin searching.
Show/Hide Advanced Search	Use this button to toggle between displaying and hiding the advanced search options.
Save Query	If you use specific search criteria frequently, you can save the criteria so it is applied automatically every time you perform a vehicle search until you save a new criteria. You can of course tweak the criteria manually to change your search result without saving it.
Clear	Clear the selected search criteria.

Search Results

You can easily sort the search results by days in stock, price, category and other columns. Each row can be expanded to show more values by clicking the "+" in the left column. The screen also allows multiple vehicle comparison and viewing of vehicle photos. View total vehicle cost information by clicking the link in the Acctg Cost column. This opens the Vehicle Cost window. The table below gives you a description of the details of a vehicle shown in the search result.

Column Name	Description
Action	This column contains options to see details, photos of the vehicle, quick edit and advanced edit.
Location	Shows the location of the vehicles in the list.
Catgy	Category column tells you whether a vehicle is New, Used or Certified Used Vehicle. "Used" indicates the vehicle is not certified; whereas, "Cert" indicates the vehicle is a certified used vehicle. You can sort the list by this column to quickly get to all vehicles of a specific category in the results.
Days	Shows the number of days the vehicle has been in stock.
Stock Nbr	Shows the stock number of the vehicle.
Year	Shows the model year of the vehicle.
Make/Model/Series	Shows the make, model and series of the vehicle.
Model #	Shows the model number of the vehicle.
Body Style	Shows the body style of the vehicle, for example, Sedan or SUV.
Acctg Cost	Shows the total cost to the dealership on the vehicle.
Total List	Shows the total list price of the vehicle.
Exterior Color	Indicates the exterior color of the vehicle.
Inv Status	Indicates the inventory status of the vehicle.
Available	Indicates whether the vehicle is available or not.
