Adjust-in or Un-release a Vehicle

Occasionally, a vehicle may have its inventory status mistakenly changed to "Delivered" or "Adjusted Out". In such a case, the vehicle needs to be re-stocked, or "Adjusted-in", as though its inventory status had never changed. The original stock number and pricing information will be used when the vehicle's inventory status is returned to "In Stock".

The normal solution to this problem is to perform the unwind process from F&I, which returns the vehicle inventory status in CDK Vehicle to In Stock.  Perform the following step if you find that a vehicle's inventory status does not return to In Stock after unwinding a deal in F&I.

  1. from the Vehicle Management menu, Select Vehicle Inquiry to display the Vehicle Inquiry screen.

  2. Type the vehicle identification number at the VIN prompt.

  3.  In the Inventory Status box, select either Delivered or Adjust Out (depending on the vehicle's current status). Click Search to display the search results.

  4. From the list on the screen, find the vehicle you will be returning to a status of  "In Stock". Click the Edit icon (just to right of the camera icon) to display the Vehicle Inventory screen.

  5. On the menu, select Actions > Status Changes & Release Actions to display the Status Change and Release window.

  6. In the Re-Stock section, select Adjust In and click Re-Stock Vehicle.

  7. The vehicle' inventory status has been changed to "In Stock" and you are returned to the Vehicle Inventory screen.
