Add
New or Used Unit (Advanced)
If a vehicle was mistakenly stocked to the wrong location, perform the following steps to move it to the correct location:
From the Vehicle Management menu, select either Add New Unit (Advanced) or Add Used Unit (Advanced) to display the Add Unit Launch Pad screen.
In the Edit Vehicle section, type the vehicle identification number at the VIN prompt and click Open to display the Add Unit screen for that vehicle.
On the menu, select Actions > Change Location to display the Change Location window.
From the New Location list, select the new location. You also have the option of entering a new stock number.
Click Change to return to the Vehicle Inventory screen, which now shows the vehicle as "In Stock" and "Available" at the new location.
If a vehicle has been traded from one location to another, perform the following steps to record the trade in CDK Vehicle:
From the Vehicle Management menu, select either New Vehicle Inventory or Used Vehicle Inventory to display the Vehicle Launch Pad screen.
In the Edit Vehicle section, type the vehicle identification number at the VIN prompt and click Open to display the Vehicle Inventory screen.
On the menu, select Actions > Status Change & Release Actions to display the Status Change and Release window.
In the Release section, select Dealer Trade. You have the option to enter information at the Released To prompt.
Click Release Vehicle to return to the Vehicle Inventory screen. The Inventory Status is updated to "Delivered" and availability is updated to "Not Available". You can now add the vehicle to the new location's inventory.
